Mud Hub Privacy Policy

JC Products LLC (d/b/a “Mud Hub,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use the Mud Hub mobile application (the “App”) and related services within the United States.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

a. Account Information
When you create an account, we collect identifiers such as your name, username, email address, and/or phone number.

b. Device Information
We automatically collect information about the device and software you use to access the App, including device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, IP address, and general location (city/state).

c. Usage Data
We collect data about how you interact with the App, such as when you follow a park, view posts, or engage with notifications.

d. Push Notifications and SMS Data
We collect and process device tokens and mobile numbers necessary to deliver push notifications or one-time-password (OTP) verification messages.

e. Analytics Data
We use Google Analytics to collect aggregated data about user behavior for performance, troubleshooting, and improvement purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the App and its features.

  • Authenticate your account and verify your identity.

  • Deliver push notifications and OTP messages.

  • Communicate with you regarding updates, security alerts, or support.

  • Analyze usage trends and improve app performance.

  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

If you opt in, we may also use your phone number or email address to send marketing communications or promotional SMS messages. You can opt out at any time (see Section 7 below).

3. Legal Basis for Processing (Pursuant to GDPR Principles)

Although Mud Hub is intended for U.S. residents, we adhere to the following principles:

  • Consent: We obtain your consent for optional communications such as marketing SMS.

  • Contractual Necessity: Processing required to provide services you request (e.g., account creation).

  • Legitimate Interest: Improving our app, preventing fraud, and securing our systems.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in the following cases:

  • Service Providers: With trusted vendors who perform functions on our behalf, such as:

    • Supabase (database and authentication)

    • Twilio (SMS delivery)

    • Google Analytics (usage analytics)

  • Legal Compliance: When required by law, regulation, subpoena, or court order.

  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred accordingly.

All third-party processors are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. When no longer needed, data is securely deleted or anonymized.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, or unauthorized access. However, no transmission or storage system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

7. Your Choices and Rights

  • Push Notifications: You can disable push notifications through your device settings at any time.

  • SMS Messages: If you opt in to receive marketing SMS, you may opt out by replying STOP or following instructions within the message.

  • Account Deletion: You may request account deletion by contacting us at support@mudbandit.com.

  • Access or Correction: You may contact us to review or correct your personal data.

8. Children’s Privacy

Mud Hub is not intended for individuals under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will include a new “Effective Date” and will be posted within the App and on any related website. Continued use of Mud Hub constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
